Pre-pharmacy students can opt to earn this bachelor's degree as you work toward your Doctor of Pharmacy. The bachelor's degree is awarded at the end of the second professional year of pharmacy school.

This degree is available only to USC Pharm.D. students who have completed pre-pharmacy coursework and the first two years of the professional program, as well as all Carolina Core requirements. It combines core and laboratory-based coursework to prepare you to be a well-rounded, well-educated scientist. You cannot practice pharmacy or care for patients in the U.S. with this degree.

What You’ll Study

Since this degree is designed for students who intend to pursue the Doctor of Pharmacy, you must be accepted into our Pharm.D. program to meet its requirements, and you must not possess a prior baccalaureate or higher degree. The pre-pharmacy and professional years one and two coursework, supplemented with several additional courses, fulfills the degree requirements.
