All paid employees of the University of South Carolina are covered by workers' compensation.
Workers' Compensation Provider
South Carolina’s State Accident Fund provides workers' compensation insurance for USC employees.
CompEndium Services, Inc. manages medical care and claims 24/7.
Any injury or illness that happens while doing your job may be covered.

If You’re Injured at Work
- Report it immediately to your supervisor and CompEndium (877-709-2667).
- For emergencies, call 911, then notify your supervisor and CompEndium.
- CompEndium will guide you to an approved doctor and handle claims.

What You Need to Do
- Fill out the Employee Injury Report Form (81-B)
- Supervisor completes the Supervisor Report of Injury Form (81-C).
- Send both forms to CompEndium (fax: 877-710-2667 ) AND email: workerscomp@mailbox.sc.edu.

Summary of Work-Related Injuries
The University's Division of Human Resources Office is required to complete and post these summary reports each year, even if no work-related injuries or illnesses occurred during the year. Other University departments are not required to post these items.
