The College of Social Work has agreements with over 250 social work agencies and organizations that supervise students in various field practicums. Approximately 400 MSW students are placed in a variety of settings to match their choice of social work concentration whether it be foundation level; individuals, families and groups (IFG); or organizations and communities (OC). 

The following listing represents many of the agencies that may request students.  Not all agencies have a website and the list is subject to change without notice.  This listing is provided to students to find out basic information about the agency and its field of practice and does not function as a contact list for field instructors or agency coordinators for field placements.  A separate list of potential field placements with contact information is sent to current students when the field placement process begins in February.  Newly admitted students are usually given referrals when they accept admission to the College of Social Work.  All students must complete an Application for Field Placement each year that they enroll for field placement.  Please visit http://cosw.sc.edu/field/apply.html  for information on applying for field placement.
