Announcing The
College Of Social Work 5th Annual Social Justice Day 2008
| Given the University of South Carolina, the College of Social Work and the social work community commitment to creating and sustaining a just and peaceful world, it is the intent of the USC College of Social Work through the I. DeQuincey Newman Institute for Peace and Justice to plan and implement this day of ongoing focus on justice.
Rev. Fletcher Harper, an Episcopal priest and Executive Director of GreenFaith, an interfaith environmental coalition based in New Jersey will be the feature speaker at our 5th Annual Social Justice Day. He is a graduate of Princeton University and Union Theological Seminary, and has served as a parish priest for ten years and in leadership positions in the Episcopal Church prior to joining GreenFaith. He is also an award-winning spiritual writer and nationally-recognized preacher on the environment.
