Free Field Instructor Training
The College of Social Work offers four different field seminars on teaching in field instruction. These are presented by our doctoral students, who have worked as field instructors or have been field liaisons. These seminars are held at various times in Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, Augusta and Charlotte. Field instructors earn three contact hours for attending seminars. Please contact Janis Hogan, Administrative Assistant in the Field Instruction Office at (803) 777-7753 if you are interested in these seminars or would like to become a field instructor for our MSW students. These seminars are designed to prepare advanced professional social work practitioners to become field instructors for the field practicum. Preceptors are also welcome to attend these seminars.
