CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Proposals are invited for the 2006 University of South Carolina Technology Conference to be held in conjunction with the 52nd Annual Program Meeting of the Council on Social Work Education

February 16 – 19, 2006

Hyatt Regency Chicago

Proposals should be sent by e-mail to coswtech@gwm.sc.edu, and should include a one-page description of the planned presentation, as well as a 35-word abstract summarizing the presentation. Details on the media to be used, as well as the content of the presentation, are required. Complete identifying information on the presenter or presenters—titles, affiliations, email, mailing addresses, and fax numbers—should be included. All correspondence regarding the meeting will be done via email, so please make sure you provide a valid, long-term email address.

Proposals submitted to the USC Technology Conference must follow the general APM submission guidelines, available at http://www.cswe.org/apm (See: Call for Papers/Submission Guidelines).

All presenters should be current members of the Council on Social Work Education, and will be expected to register for the Annual Program Meeting. Meeting registration opens September 29, 2005 through CSWE.

Priority will be given to proposals that use technology, such as PowerPoint and other computer-based presentation media. Hands-on demonstrations, panel presentations, and scholarly papers are encouraged. Other presentation formats may also be considered. Basic technological resources, such as computers and projectors will be provided by the conference. A computer lab will be available for a limited number of hands-on demonstrations. Scheduling and assignment of space will be determined by CSWE and schedule information will be sent in September.

DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS IS JULY 7, 2005.

Questions and clarifications should be addressed to the Conference e-mail address: coswtech@gwm.sc.edu
