HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLASS

To register for courses you will need login to VIP You will need to input your USC Identification Number (this is your social security number, no hyphens or spaces) and your PIN number. The first time you login your PIN will be your birthdate (4 digit month and date, ie MMDD). You will then be required to enter a new 4 digit PIN.

You will need the schedule of codes for the classes. You can find these codes on the Master Schedule. Always check the Master Schedule the day before you go to your first class to see if anything has changed (room number, professor's name, date, and time).

Use VIP to:

• Register for classes
• View your grades
• View and change your class schedule
• View your tuition and fees
• Pay tuition and fees via Electronic Check Transfer or VISA/Master Card
• Apply financial aid and scholarships to your bill (be sure you do this before the deadline for payment or your schedule will be dropped.)
• Change your address
• View your unofficial transcript
• Order an official transcript
• Check your registration time
• Check the status of your financial aid application
• Add money to your Carolina Card

Distance Education Courses (courses marked with the suffix J)

When registering for Distance Education courses, you must first look up the location where you will attend classes to find the correct schedule of codes. You can find this information on the Distance Education website.
