Military 101: Introduction to Military Issues For Social Workers and Community Partners Online
6 CEU Training
July 1 – August 31, 2015

With the ending of the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, comes a need for interdisciplinary professionals to be trained in the specific issues and problems associated with these conflicts. Whether in military, Veterans Administration, or community practice settings, professionals will encounter individuals who served in these wars and their significant others. There has been substantial research done on the impact of war on the well-being of veterans and their families. In particular, Post- traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury, suicide and substance abuse will continue to challenge the skills of professionals who encounter individuals and family members affected by the signature problems for decades to come. The Military 101: Introduction To Military Issues For Social Work and Community Partners registration fee is $35 for students with a valid ID; $95 on or before July 1, 2015. The fee is $105 after July 1, 2015. For more information or to register, click here.
